Mingle, Chill, and Network as We Commemorate Giving Black Day
It's that time again. August is Black Philanthropy Month. A time for us as a society and community to honor, celebrate, and recognize the many organizations serving the black/African American community and the diverse ways in which black philanthropy is carried out.
Last year, was the first year for Giving Black Day on August 28. Hosted by a national organization, Young Black and Giving of Washington, D.C. to increase giving to black-led, black serving organizations. This day is set aside to highlight the work of many successful black serving organizations. Mainstream organizations often overshadow the dedicated volunteers in these organizations and their positive impact on the community.
In our first year, we raised $6,000! This year we are asking YOU as our community to help us in raising $9,000! We know that when The Hive shows up, we show OUT! Kiki's mixer this year features DJ Puff and a new signature entree. Don't miss this fun night; invite your friends and reserve tickets. Space is limited.
